Redmi Note 10 is the latest mid-range smartphone launched by Xiaomi in Nepal.
The Note series is one of the most popular and best-selling smartphones in Nepal and India. This phone not only provides an abundance of features for the users but is also budget-friendly. The company claims to give a #10on10 experience for the user and is marketing the phone as the new Champ10n (champion) in the market.
It already has made its way to Nepal and will be soon distributed through various Xiaomi-authorised stores, Daraz and Sastodeal.

Design and display

The Redmi Note 10 comes with a new “Evol” design. The phone is 8.3mm thick and weighs 178.8 grams, 0.6mm lighter and 20.2 grams lighter than Redmi Note 9. It comes with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display (83.5% screen to body ratio) that has a peak brightness of up to 1100 nits, which can be pretty handy in daytime use. The display also has features like standard mode, sunlight mode, night mode and colour temperature adjustment. It has a screen resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the phone is IP53 dust and splash protected.
Camera

The Redmi Note 10 boasts a unique quad-camera setup on its back. The primary 48 MP camera is housed with an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors. There is also an LED flash on the side of the camera panel. The camera provides a decent photo quality for its price range. The rear camera has features like portrait, panorama, time-lapse, pro mode, night mode, ultra-wide-angle distortion correction, custom watermark, document mode, AI scene detection time burst, Google lens, AI watermark movie frame, pro-colour and timed burst. It can shoot videos up to 4K@ 30fps. The camera can also record slow-motion videos in 720p.
The front-facing is a 13MP HDR camera that can take videos up to 1080p@ 30fps.
Performance and battery life

The new Note 10 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 and runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11. The Snapdragon 678 is a recently launched upper-mid-range option that improves very slightly on the Snapdragon 675. This phone is powerful enough for casual gaming as well as everyday tasks.

The phone is backed up by a mammoth 5000mAh non-removable battery which can be charged through a 33W fast charger. As per the company, the phone will get a 67% charge in just 30 minutes and fully charged in 74 minutes.
Connectivity, storage and price
The Redmi Note 10 supports dual nano sims. The phone is compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11 and has Bluetooth 5.2 for faster connectivity. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C 2.0 for pairing. The phone also has an FM radio and dual stereo speakers.
The phone comes with three variants as per its storage and RAM. The base variant is 4/64GB which will cost R. 21,999, the 4/128GB variant will cost Rs 22,999 and the max 6/128GB will cost Rs 24,999.
