Kathmandu, January 10
The government, after recommendations from the CCMCC, has decided to shut down schools from tomorrow (January 11). The decision was made after Covid-19 cases in the country continued to increase over the past few days.
Education Ministry’s spokesperson, Deepak Sharma, via a press release on Monday has informed all schools in the country should shut down from January 11 to January 29.
The ministry has also asked schools to consider restarting online classes for the students.
However, examinations of university-level exams will still go ahead on the scheduled dates. The ministry has asked universities to conduct the exams following all health and safety protocols.
