Kathmandu, April 9
A ‘strong’ quake, believed to be an aftershock from the April 25 temblor, has been felt in Kathmandu at 7:05 pm.
People ran out of their houses, and gathered in open spaces following the jolt.
According the National Seismological Centre, the 4.5 magnitude quake had its epicentre in Bhainsepati, Lalitpur.
Hundreds of aftershocks have been recorded in the months following the devastating quake that killed 9,000 people and left thousands of others homeless. According to officials, more than 446 aftershocks measuring more than 4 on the Richter Scale have been recorded in Nepal following last year’s quake.
