A minor girl has sustained an injury in an explosion near a voting centre in the Barju rural municipality-5 of the Sunsari district.
An explosive device went off near the entrance of the voting centre at Nepal Rastriya Secondary School in Sunsari constituency 3 today.
Meanwhile, voting for the federal and provincial elections also got obstructed for some time as the voters were terrorised. However, it has already resumed now, according to SP Prabhu Dhakal, the chief of the District Police Office.
The injured child is undergoing treatment at a local health facility.
