Kathmandu, December 28
Sushant KC released his new single, Hawa le on December 27.
According to KC, the single had been a work in progress for over six months and started writing the song when he was isolating himself in Doha after contracting Covid following his show at Joon Fest 2022 in the UK.
“Fortunately, I had my laptop with me, which allowed me to scratch up the beat for this song. The music stayed on my laptop for a while before I started writing the lyrics for the song,” says KC.
The song then came together after his Australia tour after he went to Foseal’s studio, At Foes’s to work on the song.
The catchy song has an equally visually appealing music video as KC and his entourage show the new and old touristic possibilities at Pokhara.
KC, in recent times, has been exploring and experimenting with his music with tracks like Yaad, Kheladi, Bhaagera, and more, as an attempt to bring contemporary global music flavours to the Nepali music industry.
Hawa Le is a dancehall song, a crossover of Reggae, Dub and Urbano music.
