Rasuwa, April 10
The Syafrubesi-Rimche trekking route, shut after last year’s quakes, has reopened.
Rikchen Tamang, treasurer of the route construction consumers’ committee, said trekking has resumed along the stretch after repair and maintenance of Syafrubesi Bridge-Suspension Bridge (Syafru) stretch.
The Hariyo Ban Programme, an afforestation programme, under the Langtang National Park Buffer Zone project, provided one million rupees for the repair and maintenance work, Tamang said.
Temba Lama, chair of the reconstruction committee, informed that hotels have started reopening with the opening of the Lantang trekking route.
