Taplejung, September 14
Taplejung-Panchthar road section of Mechi Highway, blocked for two days due to landslides, reopened on Wednesday morning.
Gautam Shrestha, engineer at Ilam road division office, said they managed to reopen the road this morning only as removing debris, including huge boulders, took time.
Vehicles bound for different destinations through Talpejung, Panchthar, Ilam and Jhapa have left for their destinations, traffic police said. Vehicles have also started entering Taplejung.
