A former security person died of a tipper hit on Monday.
Former DSP at the National Investigation Department, Bishnu Thapa, was hit by a tipper while he was heading to Kalaiya from Piluwa in a motorcycle.
Seriously injured in the incident, he breathed his last at Kalaiya Provincial Hospital on Monday evening.
Thapa, a resident of ward 7 of Kalaiya sub-metropolis recently retired from his job.
Police informed that the tipper driver has been absconding after the incident.
Investigation is underway, the police added.
