Kathmandu, October 6
A professor of Tribhuvan University has survived a violent attack in broad daylight on Tuesday.
Sociology professor Prem Chalaune is injured in the attack at Kirtipur, a few kilometres away from the university, on the southern outskirts of Kathmandu.
Chalaune’s colleague Guman Singh Khatri says the professor has wounds in various parts of the body. Of them, a head injury is a bit serious.
He was rushed to Kirtipur Model Hospital for treatment, which referred the case to Mediciti Hospital.
Some people coming on two motorbikes had attacked Chalaune, according to Singh.
The assaulters are not identified yet.
