Two motorcyclists died in an accident that occurred after the vehicles they were riding hit each other last night.
A motorcycle (Se 6 Pa 6279) heading to the east from the west hit another (Ba 95 Pa 9252) coming from the opposite direction at Gopka of Gauriganga municipality-1 along the east-west highway, where both drivers lost lives.
DSP at District Police Office, Kabindra Singh Bohara, informed that the dead ones were Nirmal Chaudhari, 20, from Janaki Rural Municipality-8 and Chiranjivi Malla, 26, from Shuklaphanta municipality-7 of Kanchanpur district.
Both Chaudhari and Malla, who were injured seriously in the accident, were rushed to a hospital at Dhangadhi, but the doctors declared them dead.
However, Dipak Bohara, 22, pillion rider of the motorcycle with plate number Ba 95 Pa 9252 has been receiving treatment at a local hospital, the police added. Injured Bohara is from Shuklaphanta municipality-7.
