Two students of a higher secondary school in Parvanipur, Sarlahi district, died and 50 others got injured when a bus (Na 3 Kha 7668) fell off a bridge and plunged into the Dudhaura stream along the Pathlaiya-Nijgadh section of the East-West Highway on Sunday night. The deceased are Rabina Bajyu (15) of Parvanipur-1 and Sandesh Basnet (20) of Parvanipur-5, police informed.
They were returning to Parvanipur after having picnic at Martyrs’ Memorial in Hetaunda, Makwanpur district, as part of New Year 2017 celebrations. The injured are receiving treatment at the Narayani sub-regional hospital.
