Kathmandu, October 20
The leftist alliance comprising the CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist Centre have finalised the distribution of 37 constituencies of 32 districts which will hold provincial and federal parliamentary elections on November 26.
The parties have agreed that the UML candidates will file candidacy for House of Representatives elections in 21 constituencies whereas the Maoists will run in other 16 areas.
Earlier, the parties had agreed that the UML would get 60 per cent constituencies in the first-past-the-post elections for provincial assemblies and House of Representatives. But, the UML has just got around 57 per cent share in the distribution finalised for the House of Representatives.
The candidates are required to file their nominations for the polls on Sunday.
