Kathmandu, April 12
Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed sadness over the loss of lives in Tuesday’s bus accident in Bharkhetar, Khotang, that has already claimed 22 lives. He paid tributes to the victims and extended condolence to their families. Pun wished for speedy recovery of the injured passengers.
In a press note, VP Pun expressed all concerned to pay attention towards the treatment of the injured.
A bus with 70 on board had fallen off the road at Bharkhetar on the way to Kathmandu from Khotang district headquarters Diktel on Tuesday morning. The death toll has already reached 22. Some of the injured are in serious condition. Twenty-three of the injured were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. They are under treatment at TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Green City Hospital, Nepali Army Hospital in Chhauni and B&B Hospital at Gwarko.
