Know everything about Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 10S, recently launched in Nepal

Xiaomi, one of the global technology leaders, announced the launch of the Redmi Note 10S in Nepal recently. The Redmi Note 10S comes with a sleek design, stunning cameras, savage performance, and smooth display.

It will be the first device to come with MIUI 12.5 (interim) out-of-the-box, which is the cleanest MIUI experience ever. So, let’s see what this latest release from Xiaomi is offering.

Camera

Redmi Note 10S comes with a quad-camera setup that features a 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro camera with 2x zoom capabilities and a 2MP depth sensor with a 118°field of view. The MIUI customisations on the camera app have been enhanced to suit new-age social media creators, with features such as skyscraping, colour focus, pro colour, and the all-new pro-time-lapse mode.

The new feature will allow users to shoot time-lapse videos even under the most complex lighting conditions. Redmi Note 10S features a 13MP front in-display camera for quality selfies.

Display

Redmi Note 10S retains the new EVOL design offering a refined look and premium feel. Like its siblings, it sports a 16.33 cm (6.43) full HD+ super AMOLED display for an immersive content viewing experience. It comes with 1,100-nit brightness and a 360-degree ambient light sensor that detects the ambient light more accurately to automatically adjust the brightness of the screen making for a comfortable viewing experience. Featuring a 180Hz touch sampling rate, it reduces input lag to give users a pinpoint accuracy while gaming.

Redmi Note 10S features a bezel-less display with one of the smallest 3.5mm dot-notch on the front. The dual stereo speaker setup adds to the impressive experience. The new arch-side fingerprint sensor sits on the side of the device, and it has a headphone jack.

Redmi Note 10S sports a Corning® Gorilla® Glass that keeps the device protected from accidental falls and scratches. IP53 rating coupled with corrosion-proof rubberised ports ensures protection against dust and water ingress. It also comes with a multi-layer graphite sheet for faster heat dissipation to protect the smartphone from any heating issues.

Performance

Redmi Note 10S is powered by a MediaTek Helios G95 chipset that is designed for the ultimate gaming experience. The CPU has ARM Cortex A55 and A76 clocked up to 2.05GHz paired with the GPU ARM Mali G76 clocked @900MHz. With 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, Redmi Note 10S excels at multitasking and enhances the overall smoothness of performance on the device. This also ensures better image processing with the 64 MP primary camera. To add to the power, it comes with UFS 2.2 high-speed storage. 

The latest version of MIUI 12.5 focuses on enhancing the overall user experience and will be cleaner, faster and simply more efficient at doing things. In order to deliver an optimised system experience, the company has rewritten the system UI, which helps reduce core scene memory usage by 20 per cent and power consumption by up to 15 per cent, thereby providing longer battery life.

Battery

Redmi Note 10S sports a massive 5000mAh battery with a 33W fast charger in the box. It lets you charge 0-100% in around 78 minutes and up to 54% charge in just 30 minutes. Redmi Note 10S also comes with an ultra-battery saving mode that helps in preserving battery life.

Availability

Redmi Note 10S comes in three colour variants: deep sea blue, frost white and shadow black. It is available across authorised Mi Stores, online and retail partners starting June 20, 2021.

The 6GB+64GB version costs Rs 24,999 and the 6GB+128GB one Rs 26,999.
