Yadea T9 has been officially released in Nepal after quite a long gap. Yadea already has three other models, Yadea C1S, Yadea G5 and Yadea S-like in the market. The latest release from the company means one more variety for the people to choose from.
Yadea T9 comes with a different design and styling from the rest of the series. It is also one of the most affordable models from the company. Though being the economical model, the range of this electric scooter betters the rest of the models that are currently available. The new release also has some new features, which focus on the comfort of the riders. Similarly, the brakings also have been improved in this scooter.
So, let’s get into the details of Yadea T9.

Design
Yadea T9 flaunts a sporty design. The design of this scooter also resembles some of the existing models from another company. The glossy plastic build on the front may not appeal to everyone, but it differs according to the colours of the scooter. There is a 5.5-inch digital instrumental cluster on the scooter that displays various indicators. Similarly, the unique LED light on the front adds styling to the scooter. For the comfort of the riders, Yadea T9 offers an extended 630mm seat cushion and an extended 330mm footplate, making more space for your goodies or groceries. There is also a backrest for the pillion rider on the scooter.
Yadea T9 has a typical dimension like any other scooter. With a length of 1860mm, it has a width of 715mm and is 1070mm in height. Similarly, the wheelbase measures 1325mm while the ground clearance on the scooter is estimated at around 160mm, which is a typical measurement for any scooter.
Performance
Yadea T9 is powered by a 2390W hub motor and has a 72V38Ah portable graphene battery. This is the most economical model from Yadea in Nepal, which offers an estimated range of 120km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the battery can take anywhere from six to eight hours to get fully charged.
Though offering a good range, the scooter backfires on the user in terms of the top speed. It can only achieve a top speed of 45 kmph, which is good for city rides but would not be a good choice for the ones living on the outskirts. Also, going out for a ride on this scooter definitely would not be a good experience.
The T9L model has a battery management system, which helps the rider to monitor and know about the condition of the battery, but it is unsure if that system is available in this model as well.
Safety and other features
Yadea T9 has 12-inch tubeless tyres on both ends. The front tyre measures 90/90-12 and the rear tyre measures slightly bigger at 100/80-12. To ensure the safety of the riders, disc brakes are incorporated on both ends. Further safety feature on the scooter includes a loud burglar alarm, which will start ringing if the vehicle is touched or moved by anyone else than the rider themselves.
The scooter also has smart features like a remote seat opening and a start-by button. There is also a USB port on the scooter for charging a phone. The hydraulic shock absorber can also be of great use on a bumpy surface.
Verdict
Yadea T9 is not exactly a great electric scooter, which has been launched recently, but it surely is an affordable one. With many companies launching electric scooters at a high price, Yadea has offered an affordable option to EV enthusiasts.
It has its pros like 120km range, extended cushion on the seat, dual disc brakes and some smart features, but it also has cons, which include limited top speed and unreliable motor.
But on this budget, you will definitely miss the features and reliability that the more expensive models provide. So, this can be an option if you are looking for an affordable electric scooter.
The price of Yadea T9 is Rs 220,000.
