Myagdi, July 1
Two persons have died whereas six others sustained injuries when an SUV fell off the road in Mithaula, Mangala rural municipality-2 of the Myagdi district on Wednesday night.
The victims have been identified as Sabina Bhandari (19) and Bimal BK (15), residents of Purnagaun, Mangala-1 of the district, informs DSP Shyam Kumar Rai. Immediately after the incident, they were rushed to the Beni Hospital, but the doctors had declared them dead.
Six other injured, all the residents of Mangala-1, are undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
The four-wheeler (Ga 1 Ja 7652) had fallen around 500 metres down the road at around 8:15 pm yesterday. Locals assisted by police had rescued the injured.
Police Inspector Bikram Raj Gurung says they are looking into the case.
