Kathmandu, February 21
Although 3.3 million litres of petroleum is being imported to Nepal from India each day, common people are yet to get fuel without having to stand in long lines.
Nepal Oli Corporation says that it has not been able to meet market demand as India has not supplied fuel according to what has been demanded by the corporation.
According to the corporation, of the 3.3 million litres, 0.6 million is petrol. NOC spokesperson Mukunda Ghimire says that because petroleum supplies were erratic for the last few months, demand for petroleum is higher than usual, and it will take time for things to get back to normal.
