Kathmandu, March 23
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu honoured six Nepali women for their struggles and achievements.
The awardees included documentary filmmaker Belmaya Nepali, social activist Sunita Danuwar, entrepreneur Rita Manushi Sunuwar, acid attack survivor-turned-activists Sangita Magar and Muskan Khatun, and footballer Sabitra Bhandari.
Khatun and Bhandari were awarded with the title of the Inspiring Woman of the Year for 2021 and 2020 respectively.
Further, the list of all women except Khatun was finalised in February 2020, but the award event had not taken place due to the Covid-19 restrictions, according to the hotel.
