India has given its green signal for rerouting of 85 out of 256 gas bullets that have remained stuck in Raxaul for long due to the Indian blockade and the Madhesh stir.
Mukunda Ghimire, spokesperson for Nepal Oil Corporation, told Onlinekhabar: India has given rerouting permission to these bullets, which have not cleared customs duties.
All these bullets will enter Nepal through Sunauli. Our efforts — to bring stuck bullets to Nepal — have paid off, finally, Ghimire said, adding that the bullets will arrive in Nepal in about four days.
An NOC official is visiting Raxaul today to complete paperworks related to rerouting. The bullets will leave for Sunauli once the work is complete.
In recent days, Sunauli is not posing obstacles to gas containers entering Nepal through the Indian territory.
According to the NOC, 200 gas bullets have entered Nepal in the month of Push alone.
