Kathmandu, November 22
Sri Lankan Airlines, which operates regular flights to Nepal, has announced a reduction in airfares.
According to the airline’s Sales Manager, Deepak Mainali, fares for both the Sri Lanka-Kathmandu-Sri Lanka and Kathmandu-Maldives-Kathmandu routes have been reduced by 5 per cent to 20 per cent. The revised fares will be effective from today until December 31.
The decision to lower fares follows requests from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and the Government of Nepal, Mainali stated.
Earlier, Nepal Airlines had also announced a fare reduction on Thursday.
