Kathmandu, November 22
The ruling party, CPN-UML, staged a rally in Kathmandu today. The procession, which began at Bhadrakali, is en route to Durbar Marg, where it will culminate in a mass assembly.
Participants in the rally, accompanied by traditional panche baja music, chanted slogans in support of the government. Popular slogans included “Long live CPN-UML,” “Forward with the Oli government,” and “Justice for cooperative victims.”
Traffic management in Kathmandu faced disruptions as the UML held simultaneous demonstrations at three locations across the city.
The event was organized by the UML district committees of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur, under the banner of a “Awareness Rally.”
The assembly is scheduled to be addressed at 1:30 pm by UML Chairperson and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, along with other party leaders.
