Kathmandu, February 14
The inauguration of the Nepali Congress’ 13th general convention is to take place in Khula Manch (Open Theatre), Kathmandu. Nepali Congress office-bearers took this decision at their meeting at the party office in Sanepa, on Sunday.
Earlier, the party had planned to hold the meeting at Dashrath Stadium. Coordinator of the venue management committee, NC leader Navindra Raj Joshi, confirmed they have now chosen Khula Manch for the inauguration. The closed session will take place at Bhrikuti Mandap.
The meeting concluded that Khula Manch is safer than the stadium. The meeting did not take a decision on whether to go for electronic voting at the GC.
