Ghorahi, February 15
Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma said she has recalled 400 government employees, who had been on deputation in violation of the law. Minister Sharma said non-gazetted civil servants will not have to frequent Singha Durbar, the government secretariat, for their transfer.
Sharma was speaking at a programme in Dang on Monday.
“We have delegated authority to chief district officers and regional administrators concerned for transfer of non-gazetted employees,” she said, claiming that the tendency of frequenting Singha Durbar, meeting ministers and leaders and offering bribe has now ended.
She said her ministry has initiated a process to stop the tendency of employees to go on deputation for three months, but do not bother to return even 3-4 years later.
