Kathmandu, April 12
The death toll from a bus accident at Khotang has reached 22.
The bus bound for Kathmandu from Khotang district headquarters Diktel had fallen off the road at Bharkhetar at 8.30 am on Tuesday, about 3.5 hours after it left Diktel. The deceased include seven females and 15 males, assistant sub-inspector Ravi Limbu told Onlinekhabar.
According to police, the bus with 70 passenegers on board had fallen 500 metres down the road. Police and local people have rescued 31 of them and rushed them to a health post in Halesi for treatment. Most of the injured are in critical condition, Limbu said.
