Four cops recalled over armed Indian security personnel’s Gaddachauki border breach

Kanchanpur, April 28

Kanchanpur district police office has recalled four police officers — sub-inspector Umesh Pal, assistant sub-inspector Khagendra Bhat, a police constable and a jawan — on the charge of negligence in connection with a recent incident in which armed Indian security personnel had entered Nepal in the name of conducting a search for a criminal. The four police officers were deputed at Gaddachauki area police office.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Kedar Khanal said, “We recalled the police officers as they showed negligence and failed to conduct effective security checks.”

Khanal said other police officers will be sent to Gaddachauki in place of the four officers soon.
