Chitwan, May 13
The Narayangadh-Mugling road, shut after rain-triggered landslides in Panch Kilo, Kalikhola and Jalbire due to landslides, has reopened from Friday morning. The artery, shut since 10 pm on Thursday, reopened at 2 pm on Friday after dozers removed landslide debris, Chitwan district police office informed.
Road expansion is currently underway along the stretch. Last week also, the road had shut due to rain-triggered landslips, affecting thousands of travellers bound for or heading from Chitwan, Kathmandu and Pokhara.
