Kathmandu, June 2
Seven ministers from the CPN-Maoist Centre were absent during a meeting of the Council of Ministers convened by Prime Minister KP Oli on Thursday morning.
Only one of the eight Maoist leaders who are ministers was present during the meeting. Information Minister Sherdhan Rai said only Minister Umesh Yadav could make it to the meeting because other leaders were busy attending an important party event.
The news comes a few days after disagreement surfaced between Home Minister Shakti Basnet and PM Oli on the issue of transfer of CDOs.
