Kathmandu, February 25
The Asian Cricket Council has finally decided to allow Nepal to participate in its Emerging Teams Cup.
The tournament, which is to kick off on March 25, will feature U-23 squads from full members (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) and national squads from Nepal, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
The tournament will be held in Bangladesh, chosen as the new host after the UAE said it can neither organise nor play in the tournament.
The ACC had recently decided only to include countries with ODI status in the tournament. But it backtracked following appeals from Nepal.
