Man rescued from drain in Teku

Kathmandu, March 9

A man who had entered a drain near Kanak Petrol Pump in Teku, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-2, was rescued by the Disaster Management Division team from Samakhusi.

According to DSP Rupesh Khadka of Kalimati Police Circle, the identity of the rescued individual is yet to be confirmed. Police stated that the man appears to be around 31-32 years old.

He had fallen into the drain at around 6:45 am on Sunday. Upon receiving information, the disaster management team immediately carried out the rescue operation.

Police reported that the rescued man has a mental disability. He has been taken to the National Trauma Center for treatment.
