Partner up with us if you want to win polls: Oli to Maoists

Kathmandu, July 18

CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has called the CPN-Maoist Centre to form an alliance with his party if the Maoist party wants to secure victory.

Oli says the Maoist party cannot win any election if it follows the Nepali Congress party.

Congratulating newly elected leadership of the Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies, Oli said only leftist parties would successfully lead democracy in Nepal.

Citing that supports of UML and Maoists had partnered up for the election in the Association, Oli said, “I will tell my Maoist friends within a day or two about reality of today and possibilities of tomorrow. I will tell them that they should partner up with the UML if they are willing to win elections.”

He said only the leftist parties would save democracy as the largest political force, Nepali Congress, was acting against independent judiciary, people’s sovereignty and national integrity to serve interests of foreign forces.

“In fact, the Congress cannot protect democracy, peace, prosperity and equality now.”
