CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal says the leftist alliance can win two-third majority seats in the House of Representatives as well as provincial assemblies.

Nepal says the alliance will lead the federal and provincial governments for next five years.

Addressing a mass meeting organised in the run-up to the elections in Chitwan-3 today, Nepal said adding the numbers of local units won by the UML and the CPN-Maoist Centre in recent local level elections would make it 61 per cent; and united, the parties would fare even better.

Meanwhile, soliciting votes for Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepal said Dahal’s victory was essential for overall development and prosperity in the country.

On the occasion, Nepal appreciated Dahal for his role in concluding the peace process.
