Kathmandu, December 19

Pokhara Rhinos defeated Chitwan Tigers by 10 wickets in the second match of Everest Premier League played at the TU cricket stadium in Kirtipur of Kathmandu today.

Rhinos achieved the target of 114 runs posted by Tigers in 17.4 overs without losing any wicket.

Dipendra Singh Airee’s Tigers, who batted in the first innings, could score meagre 113 runs at the loss of nine wickets as the batsmen could not perform well. Airee, however, made a partnership with Anil Mandal for 67 runs. No batsman made a double-digit score except the two.

Rhinos, however, responded to the opponents impressively in the second innings. For the team, Pakistani Israrullah made not-out 61 runs whereas another opener Sunil Dhamala made 46.

Israrullah was declared man of the match.
