Kathmandu, April 4
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s CPN-UML party has assigned its leader Subas Chandra Nembang to work as Oli’s deputy in representing the party in the Federal Parliament.
A meeting of the party’s parliamentary party held today appointed Nembang as the deputy parliamentary party leader. Oli had proposed his name for the position.
Nembang led the constitution writing process in Nepal as the Chairman of Constituent Assembly.
After the promulgation of constitution in 2015, he came back to the party politics and served as the party’s deputy parliamentary party leader.
Meanwhile, the UML picked Khagaraj Adhikari and Shanta Chaudhary as its chief whip and whip in Parliament respectively.
The party has already unanimously elected Oli as the parliamentary party leader.
