Kathmandu, April 12
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged security bodies including the Nepali Army to stay alert against various extremist forces which have been carrying out their violent activities in different forms in the country.
Stating that forces involved in promotion of ethnic and regional tensions are also major security challenges of the government, Oli said all security agencies should stay prepared against such threats.
Addressing a function organised at the Nepali Military Academy in Kharipati of Bhaktapur today, Oli said, “Currently, we are in a comparatively stable and peaceful environment. But, we also need to prepare for dangers likely to surface in the future.”
He also directed various security agencies to establish a strong coordination to tackle modern security challenges including cyber security.
