Kathmandu, October 10
Ruling Nepal Communist Party’s Standing Committee member and lawmaker Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has complained that the government has lost its speed, and demanded a ‘gear change’ to accelerate.
Rayamajhi, speaking at a function in Kathmandu today, said,, “The government is quite slow now. It needs to change the gear. Then, it will accelerate.”
The leader said people had complaints galore on issues of inflation and corruption, hence the government should be serious about providing services to people.
“The government should meet expectations of the country and people. We should give up the traditional style of leadership, and adopt new traditions, new views and new conduct to move ahead towards development.”
He echoed statements of other leaders in the party that the era of political revolution was over and now the priority should be development and prosperity.
