Kathmandu, July 13
Keshav Tuladhar, 59, has been arrested for his involvement in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam. Police said Tuladhar was on the run and arrested him on Wednesday.
Tuladhar has been charged with fraud and organised crime and has been sent to the Kathmandu District Police Range, said SP Rabindra Regmi.
The government attorneys have filed four criminal cases against 30 people involved in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
Sixteen out of the 30 people involved in the case have been arrested by the police.
Those arrested include UML leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand, former speaker Ang Tawa Sherpa, and former home secretary Tek Narayan Pandey to name a few. Two people have been released on bail.
