Birgunj, December 30
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav says the government is preparing to introduce a new health policy.
“The health policy that we have right now is erroneous,” said the minister, who was speaking at a programme in Birgunj on Sunday. “The new policy will ensure that all Nepali will receive primary health care,” he added.
Minister Yadav said that the local government should be brought under the provincial government. He also added that the provinces should be allowed to work independently.
Asked about the progress made in unification negotiations with the RJP, Yadav said that that it was difficult for him to talk to the party as it had six chairs. “The RJP has six chairs and all of them have their own agenda. It is not possible to talk to them all,” he added.
