Kathmandu, April 25
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the government will complete post-earthquake reconstruction works within next one year, that is by the end of fifth year since the 2015 April disaster.
Whereas the government continues to be criticised from stakeholders and the public for the slow pace of reconstruction, Prime Minister says the government is taking the reconstruction drive ahead at a significant speed.
In his tweet published on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the earthquake, the Prime Minister, however, said, “The centuries-old infrastructures collapse within a moment, but it takes years to rebuild.”
He also added that the earthquake taught a lesson about safe housing and better infrastructure development.
