Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli says the government will now take initiatives to hold talks with India over the border dispute regarding the Kalapani-Limppiyadhura region.
Talking to journalists minutes after the House of Representatives endorsed the constitution amendment proposal that recognises the new political map issued incorporating the region in the country’s national emblem, Oli briefly said, “Now, there will be talks; the process will move forward.”
India has been insisting that Nepal should create constructive and positive efforts to hold the talks. It has been accused of ignoring the border tension with Nepal.
