Kathmandu, July 7
Top leaders of the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, and another opposition party, People’s Socialist Party Nepal, have held a meeting on Tuesday afternoon, expressing their shared concern over the government decision to end the ongoing session of the Federal Parliament.
Whereas the two parties had protested the decision separately stating they were not consulted for the decision, they held a meeting today and expressed that they were together about the government decision.
PSPN leaders Mahantha Thakur, Upendra Yadav, Baburam Bhattarai and Rajendra Mahato had gone to Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s house in Budhanilakantha in Kathmandu for the meeting.
“We had Parliament to express people’s voice. But, by ending the session, the government has shut people’s mouth,” Mahato tells media after the meeting, “Both of the parties have expressed their dissatisfaction over the decision.
