Kathmandu, July 21
Nepal’s veteran artist Uttam Nepali is no more. The 85-year-old painter breathed his last at around 4 am today.
Artist Nabindra raj Bhandari says Nepali died while undergoing treatment at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre. He was suffering from some heart problems for the past few days.
Nepali is considered a master of abstract art in Nepal. He was a lifetime member of the Nepal Academy.
He is survived by two daughters.
