Butwal, September 2
The Butwal-Palpa road along the Siddhartha Highway in western Nepal will be blocked for vehicles for 11 hours a day on Thursday and Friday.
The Palpa Road Division Office says the road will be obstructed from 7 pm to 6 am on Thursday and Friday nights to remove landslide debris from the road. A landslide at Tallo Dumre, Tansen municipality-8 of the Palpa district, has been partially blocking the road for the past few days.
During this period, all the vehicles except those providing emergency services will be blocked, informs Palpa Assistant Chief District Officer Shashidhar Ghimire.
Vehicles, however, will be allowed to operate smoothly during the daytime.
