Police in Kathmandu have briefly detained a man after he chanted a slogan against Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is currently contesting for another term as the Nepali Congress president.
The man had chanted a slogan against Deuba as he was returning from Rastriya Sabha Griha after casting his votes for the new central committee of the party. The police had immediately detained him but released him after a few minutes.
Meanwhile, voting is underway to elect the new central committee of the party for the next four years. Deuba, Shekhar Koirala, Prakash Man Singh, Bimalendra Nidhi and Kalyan Gurung are vying for the top position.
