A boy has died in a motorbike accident in the Pyuthan district of Lumbini on Sunday.
Kiran Khanal, who appears to be in his late teens, was riding pillion on the motorbike (Ra 5 Pa 6886) that crashed at Lamachaur, Mandavi rural municipality-3 of the district yesterday, DSP Satya Narayan Thapa, the chief of the District Police Office informs.
Injured in the accident, he died during treatment at the District Hospital in Bijuwar.
The motorbike had fallen off the road into a roadside ditch as the rider could not control the situation when it met a bus (Na 4 Kha 3996) heading towards Rolpa from Dang, according to police.
The motorbike rider and the bus driver have been arrested for further investigation.
Meanwhile, locals briefly obstructed the Jaspur-Bhingri road section in the district demanding compensation to the family.
