Kathmandu, March 2
The United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken has telephoned Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis.
Blinken wrote on his official Twitter handle at 00:47 am on Wednesday as per the Nepal standard time that he had a good telephone conversation with Deuba.
“We will continue to work closely together on economic development and regional challenges,” says the official.
Good call today with Nepal’s Prime Minister @SherBDeuba to discuss Russia’s unprovoked attack and our support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We will continue to work closely together on economic development and regional challenges.

As the conversation follows the Nepal parliament’s ratification of the much-awaited MCC grant deal proposed by the US government, observers in Nepal believe, besides the Russia-Ukraine crisis, the two could have discussed bilateral relationships also.
