Police in the Arghakhanchi district of Lumbini have arrested a government school teacher on the charge of raping his 15-year-old student.
The 27-year-old teacher of a secondary school in the Malarani rural municipality of the district has been recently arrested, informs the Arghakhanchi District Police Office.
The teacher raped her for the first time in May 2021 and many times after that, according to a preliminary investigation. It has been learned that he also forced the minor to undergo an abortion.
DSP Amar Thapa, the DPO chief, says further investigation is underway as the District Court has remanded him in custody for six days.
