Three persons died when a passenger bus hit an autorickshaw in Chandrapur of the Rautahat district in southern Nepal on Thursday morning.
The bus heading towards Sarlahi from Kathmandu (Bagmati Province 03-001-Kha 201) hit the three-wheeler (Province 2-02-001-Ha 2109) head-on along the East-West Highway, according to the Chandrapur Area Police Post.
The rickshaw driver Ravi Magar, and his passenger Prem Thada Magar and Dhak Bahadur Lungeli died while being rushed to a local hospital. Deceased Lungeli’s wife Sabina is injured and is undergoing treatment at the Chandrapur Hospital.
Police have arrested the bus driver Chandan Kumar Sah for further investigation and action.
