Kathmandu, March 10

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has barred Shree Airlines from carrying out flights until the next notice following the indication of fire in an aircraft’s engine.

After the emergency landing of the aircraft at the Kathmandu airport on Thursday, the aviation regulator decided to impose a suspension considering air safety concerns, according to an official.

The official says all aircraft of the company have been grounded for an investigation as the indication of fire is considered a major safety issue.

Following the indication on Thursday morning, the plane heading towards Bhairahawa from Kathmandu was returned to the capital for an emergency landing from Dhading.
