Gulmi, April 21
A 13-year-old boy died while putting out a forest fire in Dhurkot rural municipality-3 of the Gulmi district in Lumbini.
Local Deepak Mukhiya sustained burn injuries while containing the fire yesterday, and he breathed his last while undergoing treatment in the neighbouring Palpa district, informs DSP Dilli Narayan Pandey of the Gulmi District Police Office.
In the same incident, Dhan Bahadur Jogi Kunwar (55) of the same locality sustained injuries. He has been taken to a Butwal-based health facility for further treatment.
Meanwhile, two houses and cowsheds were destroyed by a fire in Isma rural municipality-5 of the district yesterday, according to the police.
