Kathmandu, May 14
The Ramechhap District Court has issued an arrest warrant against former Nepali Congress lawmaker Ang Tawa Sherpa in connection with the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
Sherpa is accused of duping many people by assuring them of migration to the United States as fake refugees. Likewise, the police say he also met Sanu Bhandari, a mastermind of the scam, in custody recently.
In connection with the same case, influential Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand is in custody whereas the police have got a warrant to arrest CPN-UML secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi.
Now suspended from the party position, Rayamajhi is absconding.
